Pala Diamond Co. gains another 3-year certification with RJC
Pala Diamond Co. renews 3-year certification with the Responsible Jewellery Council
Pala Diamond Co. has successfully regained its certification with the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), following a rigorous audit conducted by SGS (Société Générale de Surveillance). This marks the company’s fifth successive RJC certification, underscoring its long-standing commitment to responsible business practices.
The certification was awarded under the 2019 Code of Practices (COP) — an enhanced framework of benchmarks and regulations. Notably, Pala Diamond Co. achieved compliance without just two minor non-conformances, reflecting the strength of its ethical and operational standards.
“As the first diamond trading company in the United Kingdom to be certified and adopt the RJC COP, this achievement is a testament to the hard work, ethical priorities, and framework we as a team have built over the last decade with the guidance of the Responsible Jewellery Council. I encourage other diamond trading businesses and jewellery manufacturers to align with the RJC and help raise industry standards. This can only be achieved through transparency and accountability, which begin with day-to-day operations, regardless of the size of your business.”
